I just had a Mom-Of-The-Year moment where I turned on my flat-iron and put it on the toilet—perfect reach for my toddler’s little hands. As soon as I heard the scream and saw her running away I knew what happened. Ugh. The WORST—to see your baby shreak in pain and to know it was your fault. My instant reaction was to run her burning hand under cold water to soothe the pain until she stopped crying. Then I reached for the honey, and my homeopathic remedy kit (Arnica for shock, Apis for the burn). She was still upset. Not knowing what else to use, I went to the first aid kit and got the burn ointment. This didn’t seem to help much so I took her outside into the cool air for a walk, which did the trick. But it reminded me that I need some more go-to home remedies for moments like this. Luckily, the burn was minor–I had just turned the stupid thing on so it couldn’t have been THAT hot yet, thank God. Had her burn been under the skin, I would have taken her in to urgent care. I think she’ll be fine by tomorrow. But the pictographic above is a great reference for moments like these, and the link below takes each remedy a bit further in-depth. Thanks to the Home Remedy Shop for providing this important info!
