Everywhere I go with my charming two-year-old someone coos something like, “What a cutie!” or “What a joy she is!”, or something of the like. Everywhere. I usually smile and say “thank you!” but every once in a while someone will catch a moment of honesty, “Yeah, well HERE she is!” At home, she is a wee bit different. I wouldn’t use the word “terror”. She’s just in this constant battle for our attention that it really is close to impossible to get anything done at all. I”ll be honest. I don’t shoulder the blame as a parent for this behavior. Innately, I know it’s normal and that most kids behave this way.
