I’m betting anyone in my generation (X) or older has a bit of nostalgia for the kind of cheap Valentine’s we all used that were about 2 x 3 inches and slipped into a piece of transparent paper folded into a sort of “envelope” and handed out in class to friends. I have NO idea what the protocol is for kids these days, but based on the suggestions below, they’re probably far more elaborate, just like the birthday parties and similar celebrations have upped the anty the last few decades.
