I find that the difference between my home looking and feeling new can be something as simple as painting, adding a piece of art to the wall, changing a light fixture, or even changing furniture. While I have a small apartment and this actually makes sense (and since I really can’t do most of these in a place I don’t own), I have to remember that one day, when I do own my own home, there will be times where I grow tired of seeing the same old boring and dreary front door every day. And then, I’ll have to remember that just a simple coat of paint can make it seem new and different again. That’s what keeps people (or at least me) going.
