I guess we never think too much about insects needing a drink of water! If you live in a place where natural water sources are scarce, like a city, you can keep bees coming back to your garden by putting together a little water dish like the one above. THe rocks are there so that they don’t fall in and drown.
Mainly what happens is that the bees want a place where they can drink water without drowning, this could be one of your neighbors’ ponds, fountains or pools. When you put a water source for your bees in your garden everybody wins, your bees have water, your neighbors are happier, and you may get more bees to join your hive.
