Everyone seems to have “THE BEST” turkey recipe. I don’t know about you, but I’ve tried brining, buttering, drying out and salting, all but the famed “deep fried” turkey. (My husband keeps harping on that one. No thanks! If someone ELSE wants to make it, I’m all for it). But this recipe is a time-honored herb roasted turkey recipe, that uses the addition of water (or wine, as one commenter suggested) to the bottom of the pan, to add steam to the cooking process and keep the bird moist. I’ve heard that this process actually dries out the poultry, so now I want to try this and see which is true. What have you found to be the best, moistest, tastiest bird recipe?
