As I write this blog post, I do not yet know who the new POTUS will be. By the time you read this, we will all know. One thing we do know, is that voting this election was extremely difficult for many people because of long lines and, mostly because, EVERYONE WORKS. Ok, maybe not everyone, but a majority of people who do not show up to vote blame work or school conflicts. Voting on a November Tuesday began in 1845 to mostly accommodate farmers, avoid religious holidays and promote voter turnout. In 1845. Times have changed a great deal, and I don’t think anyone can come up with a good idea why we still do this. Read the whole background here:
