I have recently become acutely aware of my limited knowledge of farm animals trying to sing “Old MacDonald” to my daughter. Once horse, and chicken, and pig, and sheep have been sung, I get stuck. Cat? Yeah, sure. Dog, yep, that works. But what else does Old MacDonald have on his darn farm? Today? Camels, llamas, alpacas, ostrich… even crayfish? I know that camel milk is the hot new superfood as we covered a few months back. Ostrich burgers are a high protein alternative to beef. What other animals can you bring onto your farm that are outside of our basic farm animal expectations.
