About 60% of Americans use a fake tree. I know we always did. One year my dad bought a real tree and attempted to plant it unsuccessfully after Christmas. It was back to artificial the next year. Now that I have my own family and I gave away our fake tree, we will be selecting real trees, but on the smaller side. It is totally odd that we bring giant trees into our living rooms, isn’t it? Many of the newer and cheaper artificial Christmas trees can appear very sparse.
