I’ve never been a fan of those chemical, drop-on flea treatments. I always used the all-natural, essential oil based version on my pets. But that is also pretty expensive. You can just as easily make your own concoction and be assured, fleas and ticks HATE this stuff, and will stay off of your pet. I never had a problem with fleas or ticks when using natural applications. The video below will show you how to make a natural remedy for fleas and ticks. You’ll need:
– 1 cup of food grade diatomaceous earth
– 1/2 cup of yarrow powder
– 1/2 cup of Neem powder
– 20 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
Don’t be fooled into thinking that winter time will make your pet immune! Even though it is less likely to be bothered by these pests in cold weather, they are still out there. So if you’ve got outdoor pets, don’t neglect their repellent in the winter.
