I stopped drinking milk as a beverage 20 years ago. That statement makes me feel really old. I stopped when I learned how pasteurized milk can cause developmental defects when given exclusively. All the enzymes are killed in the process. So raw milk is the way to go, but not always easy to get. Plus, I am lactose intolerant so I felt a million times better removing it anyway. Calcium can come from many sources. Milk is not even the BEST source. Plus, I still eat cheese and yogurt in moderation.
Nonetheless, the reserach discusses how the de-fatting milk process adds sugar in to low fat milk products. This is simply terrible. The one thing we don’t need is more sugar! Read more below:
