Those without garages in cold climates have all returned to our cars at some point to find pretty ice patterns frozen solid to our windshield. Your first instinct is to get in the car, start it, let it warm up, turn the heat on full blast, wait a few moments and start chipping away at the ice with an ice scraper. Perhaps you try your windshield wiper fluid, but that’s frozen solid too. This whole process seems ridiculously inefficient doesn’t it? The “solution” is that simple. A mix of alcohol and water.
