I have to admit, I’ve kind of been all over the map regarding the microwave issue. Maybe you have too. I am stereotypically crunchy and keep my lifestyle and habits as close to nature as possible. So you using a microwave, by virtue of its very nature, seems contrary to my ideals. Then there are the theories of microwave ovens irradiating food, irradiating YOU, denaturing the nutrient content of the food it’s cooking, causing cancer, etc. I’m sure you’ve heard all this too. But, as much as it seems to make intuitive sense, there doesn’t appear to be any good research backing up those claims. Then I read something like the following article and think, “Well, that makes microwaves seem HEALTHier than cooking on the stove top.” Wow. I don’t know which side to believe.
