I never thought if opening up the battery pack of any of my cordless power tools…And for good reason; I have no idea what I’m doing! That being said, and a strong disclaimer, if you do not know what you are doing do NOT attempt projects such as these, lithium batteries can be dangerous fire hazards. However, if you are either skilled and knowledgeable in this area, or just plain dumb, here is what one hobbyist did with his spent drill battery pack.
