My mom always had Tarn-x in the hall closet. Lord only knows what’s in that stuff. Why buy chemicals when a simple, non-toxic solution exists in your kitchen right now? A little baking soda, salt and aluminum foil and your silverware will be shined up like a new penny:
You will need:
1/2 cup Baking Soda (or more, if you are doing larger items)
2 Tablespoons of salt
Boiling water (or at least almost boiling)
Aluminum foil lined bowl
Tongs (because the jewelry will be hot)Line your bowl with aluminum foil. Add your baking soda and salt. Then add your boiling water. It will bubble! Stir, and then add your silver.
