When you’ve got kids and you’re smart and thrifty like yours truly, you learn that buying everything new for children is just silly. The same goes for dogs, btw! I love this idea because I have seen so many free or cheap cribs come and go on my buy/sell groups and, likewise, have seen my dog crazy friends spend ridiculous amounts on dog crates and products. We’re actually guilty of this one ourselves. We did buy one of those dog crates that looks like a piece of furniture, and we bought it new. Probably the ONLY thing I ever bought new for that dog, but I just wasn’t creative enough to think of this. Hopefully this will inspire some of you to repurpose, be creative and save some cash:
