My mom has been avoiding a knee replacement surgery consultation for years now. She can barely get off a couch or climb steps. I suppose it will come to her inability to walk at all before she finally admits she needs medical attention. With innovations like this, I imagine many more people will begin to seek surgical interventions sooner rather than later.
