Dementia is quite common in the elderly population, and identifying its symptoms is most likely to happen by someone other than the sufferer. If you have an aging loved one who often forgets recent conversations, has trouble regulating mood, communicating clearly, or even walking, then you may want to encourage an evaluation. In the meantime, there are ways to help mitigate and even prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s and Dementia even for those genetically predisposed.
