If you grew up a health nut like I did, you drank all kinds of shakes and took different supplements in which spirulina was an ingredient. Especially during my vegan years, as this edible algae is high in B12–a vitamin normally obtained from animal sources. I know the taste well. It kind of tastes like grass (or what I would imagine grass would taste like). I new it must be good for you because, well, it’s green and it’s in so many shake mixes, but I never bothered to do my due diligence and unveil it’s many benefits–and there are many!
