If you drove into a pothole and had your wheel bent, it’s probably worth trying fixing the rim yourself instead of buying a new rim and spend a couple hundred bucks. This video shows how to take a dent out of an alloy wheel by carefully hammering the aluminum after heating it up. If you don’t want to scratch the rim in case your dent is on the visible side, you should use a heavy rubber mallet instead of a steel hammer. Be safe and use gloves so you don’t burn yourself on the hot rim.
