A lot of people are considering homeschooling these days for many different reasons. One might say it offers flexibility, or maybe they want to focus on certain subjects while ignoring other “unnecessary” subjects for their kids’ future, maybe school culture isn’t something parents are willing to expose their kids to, or it’s just that one child would be able to perform much better academically if homeschooled than their peers or even siblings.
My son is gonna be starting school soon, and I need to make up my mind whether I want to have him go to school or get his education at home. I know I would have been better off homeschooled myself, since I’m either good at one class or really bad at it.
There is a lot of self education I myself need to go through if I want to take the homeschooling path for my kids. I might get them started with public schools and decide later, but for now I can use some advice. Do you guys have any experience in this field? What do you think is best for your kids?
