Since we moved to South Carolina we had this problem with bugs. Probably the hot weather and the humidity both played a role in the abundance of all kinds of flying and crawling insects. We tried everything, we always kept our home clean, used different kinds of pesticides, and have monthly pest control visits.
Everything we did helped reduce the bug population but they never were 100% effective. There was one thing we did if we were baking bread at home, and that is to clean the kitchen using apple cider vinegar. Using ACV helped remove the scent of flour from the kitchen so we wouldn’t see roaches roaming our kitchen in the middle of the night.
Here’s how to prepare it:
Ingredients
- ½ cup of vegetable oil
- ½ cup of shampoo
- ½ cup of vinegar
Instructions and use
Add the ingredients in a spray bottle and mix well, then spray different surfaces in your home. The mixture is non-toxic and safe to use around children and pets, and is very effective against bugs of any kind. Spray it in every area of your home and you will notice the first dead insects in only a few hours!
