I can get why a sofa might be expensive, given the work needed, the number of people involved, the quality of the material, and the amount of material required to make a piece of furniture that looks nice, lives long, and is comfortable to sit on. But what I don’t get is why would tables be so expensive. After all, the material cost is not that high, the number of people involved shouldn’t be a lot, and the design is pretty much the same. I don’t get why a dining table would cost $1700 or why a coffee table would cost more than $500. Don’t you agree?
Here’s a story of how one man saved $5000 making furniture in his backyard rather than buying ready-made furniture that’ll break the bank.
