Currently, we live in the time of social struggle. It is sad to say that if tomorrow we had a crisis on our hands and our food supply was shortened and money disappeared, most children do not know what to do. In the 1940s we bred a society that was so self-reliant, that when there were massive food shortages, our grandparents decided to keep the food source local or in their backyard.
My question to society is: “why are we not practicing these methods today?” Whatever happened to taking care of your neighbor? Whatever happened to taking care of your fellow brother? We live in a time where sheep are men and men are mice. We’ve idolized false objects like money, cars, sexy looks, things that really mean nothing without love. Do you feel like your community is contributing to the welfare of your child? It used to be in the 1940s that everyone gained education from the community. Everyone knew each other. Everyone loved each other. Now, the culture says to distance each other through ideologies that are near unattainable.
