When we had a house in the ‘burbs, wasps made many little nests around our home. Several were under our balcony where we liked to sit. I generally like to leave flying insects along if they’re not “bugging” me, so we just let them, and the carpenter bees, do their thing.
That is until we had to sell our house. I didn’t do my due diligence. I just did the “easy” thing and went to the store and bought a can of wasp killer. That experience was almost traumatic. I won’t go into details, but let’s say they didn’t appear to go down easily. Had I just read this article I would have saved myself time, money and chemicals, and given the wasps a more humane exit from this world.
