If you have any 2004 US Quarters minted in Denver laying around (indicated by a small D on the face), go and give them a quick look. If it is one of those quarters that feature a state on the back, and that state happens to be Wisconsin, give it a very close look. There is a leaf on the corn stalk, if there are 2 leaves you have a winner! In the first photo above, both are examples of error coins. There should only be the one large main leaf. Apparently this coin was produced in error and thus has become quite valuable. At the time of this post, I found one on ebay selling for almost $1,000! (see second picture above). The vast majority of these ended up in the southwest, especially Tuscon, but you never know. If you have a whole pile of quarters it’s worth a quick check, you may end up a little richer for it.
