Funny how honey bees get all the glory when these mason bees do all the work! Ok, maybe it’s not extra “work” for them, but in essence, one mason bee can do the pollinating equivalent of 100 honey bees! I never knew this! Just look at all that lovely pollen stuck all over that guy up there! He’s just dropping it into every flower he flutters onto. You may not know about mason bees at all…afterall, they are blu-ish and almost don’t even look like bees unless you get a good look.
