These are not my feet, but they look exactly like that. They always have. I have a dry constitution. The worst is not how bad this looks but how really painful it can be when the cracks become layers deep. Every step is like stepping on a razor blade. A client of mine recommended a remedy that many of you may not be okay with, and normally, neither would I, but I was desperate at the time and bandaids just don’t stay on your feet unless you wrap them in athletic tape. So, if you’re on the slow track to healing your heels from this agony here’s what you do:
Use a thumb and forefinger to close the crack in your heel enough for the skin to meet, then place a small drop of super glue on it. Wait for it to completely dry before walking or putting socks on. YOU WILL FEEL LIKE A NEW PERSON! By the time the super glue wears off, the crack should be healed. The recommendations below are for re-moisturizing and preventing these cracks. You can do them all with the superglue still, because probably the rest of your feet are still a mess like mine are. Number one is the most important, but also a daily commitment. Make sure you wear socks to bed every night with some kind of oil moisturizer!
