I am almost ashamed to admit as one born of Italian heritage and raised on garlic, that I didn’t even know that curing it was a thing. I’m still not quite sure how braiding the garlic stems cures them, but maybe someone reading this experienced in garlic growing can explain it! I’ve never tried to grow garlic or onions, but plan to whenever are back in a stick and brick structure with a garden space. I love the idea of storing garlic long term in this very rustic and beautiful way, and also have the option of giving them as gifts.
