I don’t know why I haven’t thought of posting this DIY before. The picture below was is the product of my creative, DIY epiphany moment about 4 years ago when we renovated a 100 year old house in South Philadelphia. The two mirrors you see were passed along to me by my mother many years ago. They were gold, but we spray painted them black and used them in several of our apartments as simple decor. I had the idea to turn them into a medicine cabinet in our new bathroom and we couldn’t have been happier with the results.
My husband bought a few two-by-fours for the cabinet framing and shelves. We primed and painted them and simply bought hinges and magnets to affix the mirrors to the framing. Easy peasy!!
The picture above is of the cabinet for which Killer b. Designs. However their site is down so I found a link for a single cabinet for now. The construction is very similar to but instead you will be making two single cabinets instead of one. For our readers this should be a easy to imagine. Check it out:
