I was really excited to find this DIY because I actually own the store-bought version of this kind of “cling wrap”, intended to replace the use of plastic cling wrap. Even though it takes some getting used to, this beeswax-based cloth wrap really comes in handy to just cover up a bowl of food, and in fact, does a better job at staying put than plastic wrap. Frankly, I think it is an excellent addition to any homesteader’s arsenal. They can last for months and months with nothing more than a rinse.
The process is actually quite simple, you just need to get your hands on some beeswax and thin, tight-weave cloth. Check out the process at Nourishing Joy:

“While the wax-on-cloth idea really isn’t anything new (is there really anything new under the sun?), it certainly has become both chic and oh-so-moderne in the last few years.”
