If you have old furniture around the house or in storage that you are considering trashing or donating, or maybe you’re looking to make a statement and can go raid the local thrift store…give some of these projects a thought. Some may seem a little out there, I know, but a well-placed furniture planter can do wonders for providing visual interest to your garden. I have used and old double basin sink as a planter in a previous home of mine, and I must say it looked pretty neat. I kept the heavily rusted faucet on top and planted ornamental grass and annuals in each of the basins. I really only did it because I didn’t want to lug that heavy old sink to the dump but I am glad I did. Enjoy 15 ways some other folks have creatively re-purposed their furniture.
