I hate buying laundry detergent with all my soul. It is expensive and it doesn’t last near as long as it should for the price I pay! It really is quite sad. With a family of three, we shouldn’t have to buy laundry detergent near as often as we actually are. Or at least that’s how I feel because of the prices I pay. Not to mention, because we have a high efficiency washing machine, we have to buy that special detergent for it. As much as I have wanted to make homemade laundry detergent, I just haven’t been able to find a recipe that will work in a high efficiency machine. Well, at least until now. I would say this detergent works arguably better than Tide or any of the other name brand detergents out there! In combination with my homemade fabric softener, our clothes are just absolutely smelly (in a good way) and soft. What a perfect combination!
PS- If you don’t like the minty smell, you can always change it or add to it by using essential oils! My personal favorite is orange!
