We posted about how to make your own rain barrel a few days ago. Think of this post as a second installment. If you have an open top to your rain barrel, expect mosquitoes to have a love fest in there. We certainly don’t want to be responsible for breeding mosquitoes in today’s day and age. The authors at Greneaux Gardens solved their problem with a goldfish! Crazy!

To put it simple they dropped a gold fish in the barrel and forgot about it, it feeds on the mosquitoes so no need to feed it while it takes care of your mosquito problem!
