Here we go again, folks! Not like this should be a surprise to any of us, but as it turns out, agro-farmers are scamming the system because they have the money to do it, and are out-pricing the little guy.
If you ever shop at Walmart Superstore and come across a gallon of organic milk for $4, when the non-organic variety is $3 and the health food store organic brand is $6 or more, let that raise a red flag in your mind. Costs have to be cut somewhere in this equation and it isn’t on the CEO’s salary.
We’re in a precarious situation at the supermarket where we have no choice but to trust the labeling system and that the products in front of us are, in fact, what they claim to me. Without consumer advocacy groups and, yes, government regulated inspections, we are at the mercy of the company’s honor code. This is why I refuse to shop at superstores like this. Shop local when you can folks! Support your local farmers and have more confidence in what you are buying and eating!
Largest Organic Milk Producer in the U.S. Isn’t Actually Organic at All

It’s probably true, but the article gives no proof what-so-ever.
I included a link at the end of the post to a lawsuit settlement, it might be the proof you are looking for 🙂
Well, milk contains carbon. Thus, carbon is organic.
…and also contributes to global warming. Or cooling. Whatever it’s doing today.
Probably about as “organic” as the vegetables you pay twice the price for.
At the bottom of the website that talks about the lawsuit it gives a link to filing a claim – that link goes to a domain that is for sale – not a valid link.
It says here it’s been closed, I looked at the date it said 2012, maybe we are out of date sorry https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/closed-settlements/2826-organic-milk-marketing-class-action-lawsuit-settlement/
I used to buy Costco milk all the time 🙁
Old lawsuit, never heard of the company and bringing a lawsuit is no proof whatsoever that there has been wrongdoing…
