I wasn’t quite sure where the blogger from Prodigal Pieces was going at first when I clicked the link below. After all, “window treatments” can mean several things! Let me make it clear: Rather than spend $24/ a piece for Roman Shades that didn’t adequately block the sun AND looked bulky, she kept only ONE. She decided to leave the ugly yet functional metal mini-blinds up and used her one Roman Shade to create valances for ten of her windows. This effectively covered up the ugly mini-blinds, created texture in the room and saved her over $300!
