The blogger in the link below apparently held some kind of contest to see who could come up with the easiest and cheapest DIY compost bin. And the winner was the pallet bin above. For sure, the design couldn’t be easier and doesn’t even require hardware, only zip ties. We actually started a compost “pile” with our kitchen scraps last month, but I’m pretty sure my dog went through and ate all the scraps. Hence why having a bin is more than useful.

DIY 10 minute compost bin from pallets
All you need is 4 pallets and about 18 12″ heavy duty zip ties. Make sure you have a nice level spot for the compost bin, then just start assembling.
