I’ve done a good deal of DIY house painting in my day, and the most I attempted to learn was technique of applying paint. I.E., make a “W” with a roller then cover it vertically and horizontally. I’ve always gotten the job done, but I think it took me longer than it should have because I didn’t know about some of these tricks to keep your brushes clean and corners painted properly.
I spent a lot of time fixing mistakes. Since we’re about to move into a new place and I want to paint at least 2 rooms, I dug deeper and am so glad I did. Thanks to the Family Handyman:
