I think boils are one of those skin afflictions that sound like they were common “once upon a time” but no one actually gets them anymore. Like leprosy…which also still exists, btw. Boils are not uncommon, and we’ve all probably had one and may not have even thought of them as “boils”. What is this large cystic pimple on my leg??
