Personally, I appreciate wood floors because they are much easier to care for than carpet. Granted they don’t hide as much filth, so you have to clean them more, I still prefer them because they don’t keep as much dust and pollen harbored within the fibers. I’m all for that aspect considering I have a family full of allergic children! And my husband is not much better. Thus, with the allergies, we prefer wood floors. Now, they aren’t very cheap initially considering all you have to invest in to make the floors work best. With that being said, the couple running The Shabby Creek Cottage definitely found a way to help the cost of wood floors while still making them look absolutely amazing!
