After looking at these pictures, it made me realize how much I suddenly hate our modern, contrived kitchens. Everything about what everyone else has come to strive to remodel their kitchens after seems soulless, cold and uninteresting. Taking a look at the features of vintages kitchens makes we want to tear my stupid cabinets out and put up an old hutch.
There are MILLIONS of hutches in thrift stores these days because no one wants them anymore! I want an antique oven (i used to have one that didn’t work but I used it for storage and adored it), a butcher’s block and a fireplace where I can place my cast iron kettle and heat up some tea. Why do all of these things seem so comforting, and rows of cabinetry and stainless steel appliances seem so sterile unappealing? Maybe you’ll read this article and agree:
