Okay, I just spent WAY too much time reading and re-reading this article trying to understand it. I sit here with my feet up, because my floor is FUH-reezing. We have a crawl space below, that’s in the ground, and an attic above. According to this article, I am BLEEDING hot air right out of my roof. There are physics involved here, and that was never my strong suit. The moral of the story is, forget your windows as a means of energy savings. They’re small potatoes. More than likely you have other holes at the bottom and top of your house, causing a pressure differential that forces air in at the bottom and out at the top. IF you can find and plug THOSE holes, you will have stopped true energy leakage.
