I recently realized that I am developing an allergy to garlic. The food that has so many benefits to our health is starting to give me trouble! The itch that I get after I eat garlic is unbearable. When I shared this with my wife she also said that garlic is causing her to be bloated more than usual, I know it’s a common thing, but for her, even a tiny bit of garlic is causing a lot of trouble. According to Henry Bell of the Australian Garlic Industry Association, garlic from China is bleached, grown in untreated human sewage, and sprayed with chemicals to stop sprouting, and to kill insects and plant matter. US grown garlic is heavier, flavourful, and has roots!
